Just started playing DoragonLand? Then pay attention to the listed mistakes below. It will be very useful for beginners as you can avoid unnecessary mistakes, improve your gaming experience, and level up faster.

1. Release card right after the battle starts

Seems like a lot of people rush to deploy their first card right after the match starts. We should wait until the mana bar fully loads so that we can combine cards so they can support each other and improve the fighting ability.

2. Upgrade every card

Yes! You should definitely avoid this! Don’t try to upgrade every card you have but analyze the cards carefully to decide on a good deck then upgrade those cards only. By leveling up every card, it is just a waste of GOLD and DOR.

Each player may have different strategies while playing the game so we should focus on leveling up just the cards that you need instead of leveling up everything.

3. Play too offensively
It would be a lot more fun pushing and taking our your opponent’s tower than defending your towers. What often happens is that you send all your warriors to take out your opponent’s towers. Your opponent can defend against the attack and push his dragons towards your undefended towers. So don’t push too offensively. Always think about defending your towers.

4. Change your decks frequently

I totally agree it’s fun to try out new decks, especially when you unlock new cards and want to test them out.

However, the deck you have chosen to play with should be the one you can confidently play against anyone. You should be aware of the card usage as well as positioning and timing. This is called mastering. It gets better with experience. Instead of changing the deck every day, we suggest you learn one deck well and then just tweak the deck by replacing one or two cards at a time.

5. Play without looking at the mana bar
A huge mistake most players make is to not pay enough attention to the mana bar, especially new players.

It’s so frustrating running out of mana and just having to sit there and watch while your opponent takes out your towers. If you keep using your cards till it reaches zero mana, you can’t do anything about the counter-attacking.

Always have some mana left unless you know your opponent is low on mana as well, the defending or the push you are making will really swing the game.

6. Lack of knowledge about cards

If you want to be successful in DoragonLand you have to know at least the basic of the cards. Basic stuff like which dragons can target air, which dragons are flying, which dragons deal splash damage, etc. You could take a look at that in the cards on our whitepaper: https://whitepaper.doragonland.io/fundamentals/gameplay/cards.

7. Only keep watching one spot

Make sure you pay enough attention to the whole arena. You may only keep watching one spot if there’s a fierce fight going on in one area. For example, you are pushing everything in, trying to take down one of your opponent’s towers or you are defending hard, you may probably ignore what’s happening in other areas of the arena and you may just lose the game because of that.

That’s all for today, guys. We will continue to give other awesome tutorials and deck guides on DoragonLand which will surely improve your game. Don’t forget to share this with your friends to motivate them.
