Gameplay of DoragonLand
We discuss the gameplay and mechanics of the highly anticipated GameFi.
In this article, we will give you a closer look into the gameplay and mechanics of our GameFi project — DoragonLand.
Inspired by the world-renowned Clash Royale, DoragonLand is an insanely simple yet hard to master online battle brawler video game. The game integrates elements including action, collectible card games, tower defense, and RTS. DoragonLand pits players in games featuring two or four players (1v1 or 2v2), in which the objective is to destroy the towers of opponents, with the demolition of the Master’s Tower resulting in an instant win. After two minutes, if both sides remain an equal number of towers, the match will continue into a 1-minute overtime period. If no towers are destroyed after the overtime, players will be put into sudden death mode for 30 seconds, in which the recovery speed doubles. Once the sudden death mode is over, if there is a tiebreaker, the winner will be determined by the damage they inflict on their opponent. The game will end up in a draw if there’s no or equal damage caused from both sides.
Cards
Playable troops, buildings, and magic spells are represented as cards. Before each match, players construct a deck of eight cards to use for attacking and defending against their opponent’s cards. At the beginning of each battle, four randomly chosen cards will be assigned to each player.
Each card costs a certain amount of mana to play. Once a card is played, a new card is automatically drawn from the player’s eight-card deck.
The card has four rarities, a maximum of 10 levels: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.
Quests
In DoragonLand, there are 3 types of quests: Daily quests, Weekly quests, and Progress quests. Players must complete these quests to claim in-game rewards. The rewards are determined by the rank of the quests as follows: Easy — Normal — Hard — Extreme.
- Daily Quests
Players need to complete quests every day to collect points, which can be used to unlock quest chests from the menu. Players who claim all rewards during the day will not be able to earn more. Players have to wait until the next day to continue to do daily quests.
- Weekly Quests
These quests can be done every week. The system is quite similar to daily quests but the difficulty level and the rewards of the quests are higher.
- Battle Pass
Players complete different process quests to earn progress points. Players must reach a certain point to unlock rewards.
Clans
From level 10, players can join or form clans. Joining or establishing a clan enables players to engage in competitive battles and clan wars, for strengthening themselves and the clan as a whole. It also unlocks the feature of trading and requesting cards from clanmates after reaching a certain level. Clan members can also chat and share emotes with their clanmates. A clan has a maximum of 50 players.
Clan Wars
To join in a Clan War, a Clan must have a minimum of ten players that are level 8 and above. On a Special Day, each player from each Clan gets to do three battles in various game modes, which randomly switch each month.
Upon clearing a battle, players are rewarded with cards, which contribute to their Clan’s card collection. More cards are awarded upon winning a battle, and players can earn more and valuable cards in higher Arena.
Tournaments and Esports
Due to its skill-based, competitive nature, DoragonLand is a good fit for tournaments and esports. This is a critical factor for the future growth of each individual and DoragonLand in general. We hope to see engaging and contributing performances when there is money and tokens on the line.
Leaderboards and Arena
The arena is the battlefield where players compete and earn Trophies, resulting in the higher rank and more well-deserved rewards. Leaderboard signifies rank among players across various titles. Players can be ranked against other players based on the winning rounds of arena battles.
